Samba Police distributes mobility aids, items among specially-abled persons

SAMBA, May 13: Continuing its effort to serve society and to reach out the needy people, Samba Police today distributed tri-cycles, wheelchairs, walkers and walking sticks among 85 specially-abled persons of District Samba in a function held at District Police Office, here.
The mobility aids and items were distributed under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
At the assistive items distribution programme organized, SSP Samba Dr Abhishek Mahajan distributed 10 tri-cycles, 5 wheelchairs, 20 walkers and 50 walking sticks among specially-abled persons hailing from different areas of District Samba.
All the Police Supervisory Officers and SHOs of District Samba among locals of the area were also present.
While addressing, SSP Samba said that we as a human being need to give these specially-abled persons proper care and attention whenever and wherever needed. Time and again, Jammu and Kashmir Police have always stood with the needy and destitute through different means and shall remain committed to do the same in future as well, added SSP Samba.
Later SSP Samba also interacted with the beneficiaries.
