RAJOURI, Aug 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Pahari People Movement (JKPPM) has alleged that National Conference and Congress were ignoring the aspirations of `Pahari’ people of the State.
A senior member of the movement, Shahbaz Khan while speaking in the delegate session at Choudhary Narh here today said that Congress and the NC were playing with the sentiments of over lakhs of Pahari people. He claimed that Paharis were suffering for the last several decades and the respective Governments have failed to provide them justice. He also criticized several former Legislators/ Ministers from Rajouri and Poonch and alleged that they hardly showed any interest in the demand of the Paharis.
Vijay Kochar, Abdul Qadir, Rajinder Mehta and several other members of the Movement addressed the gathering. They strongly appealed for the addressal of long pending demand of Paharis with out any delay.
