JAMMU, Mar 31: Prof (Dr) Vishal R Tandon from Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has been conferred with yet another prestigious fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of (RCPSG), Edinburgh UK.
Dr Tandon joins the pool of very few faculty members in the country from any specialties and in fact is first non-physician and non-surgeon in the country who have conferred dual fellowship (FRCP-Glasgo & FRCP-Edinburg) of UK based both prestigious Royal Colleges. The (RCPSG-Edinburg) is a very old and prestigious medical royal college in UK established in 1681 that set the specialty training standards for physicians and surgeons internationally.
The Fellowship has been conferred following successful completion of the MRCP (UK) examination and it admits meritorious faculty as fellow in its academic pool of Physicians and Surgeons based on their immense contributions in their respective specialties on account of their extraordinary, meritorious, distinct contributions in the field of medical Education, research patient care and public education and awareness.
