AIKS demands settlement of KPs in 3 smart cities in Kashmir

JAMMU, Mar 30: In light of the national public sentiment and debate created by the release of The Kashmir Files and bringing national and international spotlight on the plight of Kashmiri Pandits with respect to their en-mass single dark night exodus on January 19-20, 1990 from the Valley of Kashmir, their home for more than a millennia and the debate of their genocide; The AIKS in its recent meet of community leaders demanded for the reversal of genocide and severe punishments as an initial step towards meaningful CBMs and way forward for the restitution, return and rehabilitation of the exiled community in Valley. They demanded a punitive action against the culprits and perpetrators of the crimes against humanity. The meeting which was presided over by president Dr. Ramesh Raina was attended by a large number of community leaders, thinkers and members from all walks of life from all over India and Delhi NCR.
The leaders in the meet made it clear that reversal of exile becomes imperative after all 32 years is too long to live as refugees in one’s own country .AIKS demanded a commission of inquiry to investigate in all the gamut of genocide of Kashmiri’s inflicted by terrorists in the Valley and elsewhere.
It demanded the Modi 2:0 to invite the AIKS office bearers and the active eminent thought leaders of the community to discuss the ways and means for return, and a module for restitution, safe/dignified rehabilitation in three smart cities at Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla in a composite habitats. The meet further demanded the political representation by way nomination of four Assembly seats to exiled KPs in the Valley.
The meet demanded all the religious shrines and endorsements to be protected by Law by way of an Ordinance to be issued by LG urgently and put in an Apex Committee headed b Chief Secretary with law experts and AIKS representatives to Manage the affairs of all the shires in the Valley.
The meet demanded enhancement of cash relief to Rs 25000 per family to relief getting displaced families and all the facilities for decent livings in Jagti and other habitats housing the Pandits in Jammu and in the Valley till rehabilitation in the Valleys smart cities.
