JAMMU, Mar 29: Celebrating the birth centenary year of Dr Pandit Uttam Chand Pathak Shastri , a renowned Sanskrit scholar, a programme was organised by Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan. BJP J&K general secretary, Vibodh Gupta was the chief guest.
On this occasion, Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan along with various institutions having allegiance to the Sanskrit language in Jammu and Kashmir have decided to propagate and expand the Sanskrit language throughout the year with the objective of “Gehe Gehe Sanskrit”.
An Organizing Committee was also formed by the Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan Trust consisting of Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan, Vishwasthali, Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranvir Campus Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology, Jammu to promote the use of Sanskrit language. Earlier a 15-day Sanskrit speaking training camp was also organized under the joint aegis of Shri Kailash Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust at Central Sanskrit University Shri Ranveer Campus, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion BJP UT general secretary , Vibodh Gupta, said that Jammu and Kashmir in ancient times were known as the main centre and hubs for Sanskrit learning. He added that the Union Territory is regaining its ancient glory with the tireless efforts of PM, Narendra Modi to re-establish the cultural and academic excellence of J&K.
Vibodh aid that Hindu religious scriptures have time and again given direction to the world during the tough and challenging times even during the COVID 19 pandemic.
The valedictory session was addressed by Acharya Abhishek Kumar Upadhyay, Principal of Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan. He highlighted the benefits of the year-long action plan made to promote and the propagation of Sanskrit across the State.
The special guest Arun Gupta , president, Chamber of Commerce & Industries, urged everyone to work with determination on the motto of “Gehe Gehe Sanskritam”. As a special guest, Shri Shri 108 Sant Hare Ram Das Ji, during his address, called upon all to study Sanskrit. Acharya Rohit Shastri Ji, president of Shri Kailash Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, called upon everyone to come together to implement Sanskrit in all the schools of the UT.
In the presidential address, Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra welcomed and complimented the guests and highlighted the importance of the Sanskrit language. Prof. Sharad Chand Sharma threw light on the stage operation and biography of Dr Pandit Uttam Chand Pathak Shastri Ji.

On this occasion mainly among the teachers of the K.S. University, Dr Jogendra Dixit, Dr Madan Jha, Dr Sumant Chand Pant, Dr Vishal Gupta, Dr Deepak, Dr Harishankar Pandey, Devendra Ji, Rakesh Gandotra, including a large number of students, research scholars dignitaries were present.
