JAMMU, Aug 21: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past over nine years.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, RS Pura police arrested an absconder, who has been identified as Surjeet Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Chakrohi, tehsil RS Pura.
The accused was involved in FIR number 241/2004 and FIR number 61/2005 registered with Police Station Gandhi Nagar and Janipur respectively, he said.
Four general warrants of arrest under Section 512 CrPC were pending against him, he added.
