JAMMU, Mar 19: In one of the sensational custodial murder in District Jail Jammu of an Assistant Garrison Engineer, Presiding Officer of the court of Special Excise Mobile Magistrate Jammu Umesh Sharma has directed SHO Police Station Pacca Danga to submit action taken report in an application/ complaint filed by complainant Gulnaz Waheed, widow of Mohd Imran Ullah of Prayagraj, UP.
After hearing Advocates Aseem Kumar Sawhney, Neeraj Singh and Dheeraj Singh appearing for the complainant, the court observed, “complainant’s husband was found dead in the jail and the complainant has alleged foul play and is suspecting murder or abetment to suicide over a co accused. The complainant has moved a complaint to the SHO Police Station Pacca Danga and also to SSP Jammu but no FIR has been registered”.
“It would be in the interest of justice in the first instance to call for an “action taken report” from SHO Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu before passing any order under Section 156 (3) CrPC and also to have assistance in adjudicating the matter”, the court said and directed that the case be listed on March 23 for filing of report by SHO Pacca Danga.
