Delegation of PHE Daily Wagers meets Union Minister

JAMMU, Mar 17: A delegation of PHE Daily Wagers led by BJP Co-Convener Sanskritik Cell, Sumit Sharma met Union Cabinet Minister, Gajendera Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi and discussed the issues of PHE ITI trained CP Worker and Land Donors Association.
The delegation briefed the Minister about long pending demands of the Association like regularization of all daily rated workers engaged after 1994 and implementation of Minimum Wages Act as per other UTs of the country.
Disbursal of all pending earned wages of casual and other workers, jobs to the kith and kin of deceased daily wager and special compensation of Rs. 5 lakh to the retiring or retired casual workers of the department were among the other demands raised on the occasion.
President of PHE Union, Deepak Gupta and general secretary, Bhanu Pratap Singh submitted a memorandum of demands to the Union Minister who said that he will talk to the J&K LG in this matter and assured a favourable decision for PHE daily wagers.
S. Devinder Pal Singh, vice president; Mohd Sajad Ganaie, secretary; S. Manjeet Singh and Sanjeev Thakur were also present in the delegation.
