JAMMU, Feb 17: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Reasi Dr Anirudh Rai today withheld the salaries of the Panchayat Secretaries, Technical Assistants and GRs of Block Chassana and directed the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) to submit the ATRs within three days as the Block performed poor under MGNREGA, PMAY (G) and other schemes.
In a communiqué to BDO Chassana, ACD Reasi said that the performance of the Block under MGNREGA for the Financial Year 2021-22 has been found very poor while the progress of house completion under PMAY (G) is also not satisfactory.
“Further, funds released/ approved in respect of your Block under Area Development funds was Rs 698.24 lakh and you made only expenditure amounting to Rs 285.22 lakh, which is a matter of serious concern,” the ACD said in the communiqué while adding that “You have not completed the targets assigned by the higher authorities and non-timely completion of assignments by you have been viewed very seriously by the higher authorities.
The ACD directed the BDO to submit the ATRs within three days without fail otherwise he will be held culpable for non-performance of your block. “In the mean time, the salaries of the Panchayat Secretaries, Technical Assistants and GRs of Block Chassana are kept with held till further orders,” the communiqué reads.
