Theft case solved in Ganderbal, one held with stolen property

Srinagar, Jan 21: Police in Ganderbal today said to have solved a theft case by arresting one accused person involved in the commission crime and recovering stolen property worth lacs of rupees from his possession.
On January 17, police said, PS Lar received a complaint from one person Ishtiyaq Ahmad Rather son of Mohd Maqbool Rather resident of Manigam Lar Ganderbal regarding theft in his house during the intervening night of 15/16 January 2022.
“On receipt of this information, SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar constituted a special team led by SHO Police Station Lar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal,” police said, adding that after strenuous efforts, the special team cracked the said case and arrested one person involved in the commission of the crime.
“The accused has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Mohi-u-din resident of Baghwan Mohalla Manigam Lar Ganderbal,” police said.
On his disclosure, as per police, stolen property worth lacs of rupees including one iPhone with charger, 02 Watches (Armani & Sekonda) & one Golden ring besides, tools used in the commission of crime were also recovered from his possession.
