JAMMU, Jan 20: Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta along with Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM here today inaugurated a Deluxe Sulabh Toilet Complex inside Greenland Park at Channi Himmat in Ward number 50.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that after hectic efforts of the concerned Councillor the much needed toilet complex has been inaugurated for public use and it has been constructed under Swacch Bharat Mission with an estimated cost of Rs. 10.50 lakh by JMC along with Sulabh International Social Service Organization (SISSO) on pay and use basis.
The toilet complex consists of separate units for males and females with bathrooms as well as a caretaker’s room and it will be maintained by SISSO for the next ten years.
Raj Kumar, Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee; Ajay Kumar Gupta, Chairman Social Justice Committee; Hardeep Singh, Chairman Swacch Bharat Committee; Neena Gupta, Councillor Ward No. 50 and other prominent persons of Channi Himmat along with S. Harvinder Singh, Executive Engineer and his supervisory staff, representatives of SISSO J&K and others were also present on the occasion.
