SRINAGAR, Jan 19: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Thursday visited dedicated Covid-19 maternity hospital Chanpora and said that the hospital will be upgraded so that it could cater to the patients from several other districts.
A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir said the director visited the Chanpora which has been especially dedicated to maternity services.
“The director also interacted with patients and said the administration is fully geared and has made all the arrangements especially for maternity care in hospitals,” the spokesperson.
On the occasion, the spokesperson said, Dr Mushtaq said that the health facility will be upgraded and will cater to Covid-19 patients of Pulwama, Srinagar and Budgam district.
He said that staff for the same will be pooled from these districts. “Pertinently, at the dedicated Covid-19 facility, around 15 Covid-19 positive patients are admitted in the hospital and are undergoing treatment.”
On the occasion, Dr Mushtaq said that maternity services are an important part at this point and we need to keep facilities for maternity care so that pregnant women, who are Covid-19 positive, do not face any kind of difficulty.
