Govt failed to provide basic amenities to people: Bhim

JAMMU, Aug 5: Chief patron of  National Panthers Party, Prof  Bhim Singh has alleged that present Coalition Government led by NC leader Omar Abdullah has failed to provide basic amenities to the people of the State.
Talking to media-persons here today, the NPP stalwart said that the present regime has failed to provide adequate power and water supply to the people. Even the ration and especially the sugar is not available to the people. The power curtailment has made life of the people miserable.
Referring to the  recent earthquake and aftershocks in district Doda, Prof Bhim Singh alleged that people are under tremendous fear and cracks in their houses have widened. There is  threat to their life, moreover, the Government has failed to provide any relief package to them. He opined that  earthquake and tremors of low intensity could be due to boring of long tunnels in Nashri and Banihal area. Some dangerous gases and impact of machines could be responsible for the tremors. He claimed that he has written to the Prime Minister in this regard. He demanded  that proper environment impact assessment and survey by the expert Geologists should  be got conducted in this regard.
Prof  Singh alleged that discrimination with the Jammu region has continued in every field. The Government has maintained criminal silence on issue of delimitation. The Jammu region has been denied political share and refugees/ migrants are struggling since long. They have been denied justice. He said that only NPP can provide justice to the people of this State.
