JAMMU, Jan 12: Bahu Fort Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1.5 kilograms ganja from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Sajad Sarwar laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 1.5 kilograms ganja from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Manoj Kumar, son of Ram Singh of Behraich, Uttar Pradesh, at present Sector 1 Trikuta Nagar, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 15/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
