MUMBAI, Aug 5: The rupee opened higher by 22 paise to 60.88 per USD today, following selling of US Dollars by banks and exporters, dealers at the Inter bank, Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit recorded the days high and low at 60.92 and 60.86 per US Dollar respectively.
The domestic unit recovered due to weak Dollar against other world currencies, they added.
