JAMMU, Dec 28: Chinore Police busted a gambling den with the arrest of six persons along with Rs 1.40 lakh stake money.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Chinore led by PSI Amit Roshan conducted raid and busted a gambling den with the arrest of six persons along with Rs 1.40 lakh stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons were identified as Ranjan Bhat, son of Rameshwar Nag Bhat, Rakesh Kumar, son of Rajeshwer Kumar, Anil Kumar, son of Karan Kumar, Parshotam Kumar, son of Ajeet Kumar, Surinder Kumar, son of Mohan Lal and Ravinder Parihar, son of Prithivi Raj.
Cognizance under Section 13 Gambling Act has been taken by Chinore Police.
The whole operation was conducted under the guidance of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
