JAMMU, Dec 23: Tributes were paid to former Member Parliament (Ex-MP) and senior Congress leader MadanLal Sharma on his 1st death anniversary.
A function in this connection was held at Khour where a large number of people assembled to pay their tributes to their former MLA and Ex-MP from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency. People appreciated the works which were done by Late Sharma during his tenure.
The speakers also referred to workers like degree colleges, health centers, schools, community halls, roads, construction of various bridges especially new bridge at Chenab River in Akhnoor which gave 24-hours connectivity for Jammu to Akhnoor and Khour Sub Division. The meeting was also attended by Satish Sharma, chairman Madan Lal Sharma Charitable Trust.
In the meeting people also discussed the various problems being faced by people of Chammb area and asked Satish Sharma to raise those issues to resolve the problems of the people. Satish assured the gathering to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people.
Another function was held at Akhnoor where people of the area also paid their tributes to Madan Lal Sharma. Similar functions were held at Sunderbani, Hiranagar, Kathua and Jammu to pay tributes to Late Sharma.
