KATHUA, Dec 20: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) held a meeting in Hiranagar and demanded implementation of Mandal Commission report.
The meeting was attended by Sardar Singh, S. Rashpal Singh, Panch Jagir Singh, Ex-Sarpanch, Puran Chand and Lok Nath who demanded OBCs census and reservation in promotions.
Speakers in the meeting flayed the attitude of Government for not implementing 27 per cent reservation to OBCs despite the abrogation of Article 370.
Other speakers raised the issue of working of J&K UT Commission for Socially and Educational Backward Classes which has already submitted its interim report in March 2021 but not made it public.
Speakers in the meeting appealed to all the office bearers of AIBCU to make the best use of their vote in future to benefit all OBC communities and the reserved categories, their children and generations to come.
