KISHTWAR, Dec 17: Two houses were gutted while three others were partially damaged in fire in Hullar and Hurna Palmar areas.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a residential house, which later spread to the three adjoining houses in Hullar area.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire fighters along with tenders reached the spot and started operation to douse the flames. Army personnel and locals also assisted in fire fighting operation.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control.

Two houses owned by Ghulam Hassan, son of Ahmadoo Bagwah of Hullar and Som Nath, son of Bhabhi Chand of Hurna Palmar were gutted in fire, whereas houses owned by Nissar Ahmed, Abdul Rashid and Parvez Ahmed, sons of Ahmadoo Bagwan of Hullar were partially damaged.
No injury or casualties were reported in both the incidents, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Kishtwar Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
