UDHAMPUR, Dec 14: A mason died when retaining wall of an under construction building fell on him at Kud, here today.
The mishap took place around 1030 hrs at Poonch House, Karwal Nallah Kud. The deceased, identified as Bittu Ram, son of Beli Ram of Pul Madha, Chenani, came under the collapsed wall. He was rushed to CHC Chenani, where doctor declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this connection and initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC for further investigation.
