Army brings together religious leaders at ‘Moulvies Conclave,’ discusses issues

BARAMULLA, Dec 14: An interactive session with Moulvies was organised today under the aegis of Headquarter 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles/Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo) at Haiderbeigh Sector Headquarters.
As the Moulvies play a vital role in mentoring the society and masses through gatherings held at various mosques at regular intervals, the aim of the interaction was to gather Moulvies of the area of responsibility of Haiderbeigh Sector Headquarter under one roof.
The event was also aimed to carry out a brain storming session on the session on channelize existing energy towards positive direction and to eradicate various social issues like drug addiction, lack of education and knowledge, unlawful activities, wealth and health issues.
On the occasion, more than 50 Moulvies from the adjoining areas of Srinagar, Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan and Tangmarg attended the conclave.
The conclave started with a welcome address followed by Tilawat, Nath Sharif and a lecture on social responsibility of a moulvi in Naya Kashmir.
The new variants of COVID-19 pandemic and the preventive measures were also discussed. They were requested to spread awareness about Omicron and its preventive actions that can be taken against the deadly virus.
In the end, Commanding Officer, Uplona Rashtriya Rifles addressed the esteem audience and appreciated the efforts of Moulvies in eradicating the social evils of the society.
Attack on police party in Srinagar yesterday evening was highlighted and two minutes of silence were observed by all moulvies to give respect to all martyrs.
All the Moulvies actively participated in the conclave and discussed their own experiences in channelizing the youth towards success.
