SRINAGAR, Nov 21: The police today arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
Reports said a police party at a checkpoint established at Hathlangoo Crossing, intercepted a person identified as Hilal Ahmed Malla son of Muhammad Maqbool Malla resident of Malmapanpora Zaingeer.
“During the search, police recovered 10 bottles of codeine phosphate (Welcyrex) from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 282/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Sopore and further investigation has been initiated.
