Minor girl dies, 5 others of family injured as car rolls down

UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: A minor girl died and five other members of the family were critically injured when a Maruti car, they were travelling in, rolled down into a deep gorge at Dhama Bridge, near Barnara in Khoon, under the jurisdiction of Majalta Police Station, here today.
The deceased was identified as Neha Devi (12), daughter of Balwant Singh of Khoon. She reportedly died on the spot while her parents and a sister among five persons were critically injured.
The injured were identified as Balwant Singh (43), son of Sindoor Singh of Khoon, his wife Sushma Devi (36), their daughter Shivani Devi (14); Surinder Singh (40), son of Madan Singh of Khoon and his wife Reva.
The accident took place when the Maruti car, bearing Registration Number JK02AH-4575, skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge at Dhama Bridge.
Some locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where one of them was declared as brought dead.
