Councillor starts platform work at Arti Ghat

JAMMU, Nov 18: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Amit Gupta along with Mahant Rajesh Bittu Ji here today started platform work at Arti Ghat on the bank of river Tawi at Bikram Chowk in Ward 19.
The work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 11 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor urged upon the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation within Jammu city.
He urged upon the locals of the area to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine works and shun the habit of throwing debris, garbage, filth etc in lanes and drains.
Gupta also asked the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat and clean city.
Locals including Rajkumar, Baburam, Vijay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Gopal Kumar, Arun Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
