SRINAGAR : Eight new guests from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here while only one Kashmiri crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC), official sources said here today.
They said 20 returnees also crossed sides at Kaman Post, the last Indian military post, on this side of the LoC in Uri sector.
Sources said eight PoK residents, including four women and two children arrived at Kaman post after crossing Aman Setu, the peace bridge on foot.
A Kashmiri, who had gone to PoK, returned home after meeting his relative, separated in 1947.
They said only one Kashmri travelled in the Karvan-e-Aman bus to PoK to meet his relatives on other side of the LoC. However, 19 PoK residents returned to their homes after completing their stay in Kashmir.
They included 12 women and four children.
Thousands of families divided in 1947 have benefited from the weekly LoC buses, operating since April 7,2004. (AGENCIES)
