UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: In a major fire, a house along with a shop were completely gutted in Latti area, here this morning.
The fire broke out at 6.15 a.m. in the house of Rakesh Kumar, son of Rallo Ram and completed gutted the entire house as well as a shop. Electric short-circuit was apparent cause of fire.
Even as some locals along with Sarpanch Latti, Kusturi Lal Gupta and a police team rushed to the spot, blazes could not be controlled in absence of fire brigade in the area.
“The tragedy could have been averted had the administration listened to the Panchayat Latti for granting of Fire Brigade to this far flung area, said Kasturi Lal Gupta, who appealed the administration to provide immediate relief to the effected family.
