JAMMU, Nov 9: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Parmodh Kapahi here today started road blacktopping work at Ward number 14 in Bhagwati Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor said that a long pending demand of the people of the area has been fulfilled with the road blacktopping which will incur Rs. 14 lakh and will cover all the major lanes of Ward 14.
A handout stated that the work is being executed by Public Works Department in presence of AEE, JE, the Councillor and the Contractor.
Later, the Councillor Parmodh Kapahi along with AEE and JE also visited Ward 14 and its adjoining localities and met the locals who demanded construction and repair of left out lanes and drains, blacktopping of main roads as well as interior lanes etc.
Kapahi gave a patient hearing to the people and assured them that all their genuine demands will be redressed in a time bound manner.
He further said that development work at the adjoining areas in Ward 14 has already been completed with the cooperation of AEE, JE and people of the area.
