SRINAGAR, July 20: In view of the holy yatra of Shri Amarnath Ji being stopped  following the incident at Gool and road blockade by protestors, BJP National Executive Member & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria called on Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo here today and expressed his concern as yatris who were not allowed to leave for holy cave from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu  and other places feel restless.
Mr Khajuria said that a large number of yatris are forced not to proceed from Jammu towards holy cave of Amarnath Ji and if the yatra is not allowed daily there will be a heavy rush of pilgrims. He further said that even those yatris who have performed puja and darshan at holy cave, have been stopped at Pahalgam and Baltal and not allowed to proceed towards Jammu.
Mr Khajuria urged the Minister to make arrangements for immediate resumption of the yatra, adding that  due to the suspension of the yatra, there is an un -manageable rush at Jammu as every day more and more yatris are reaching from different parts of the country. He also urged Mr Kichloo to ensure adequate security along yatra route right from Jammu to holy cave.
In  response to this, the Minister assured Mr Khajuria that the yatra will be resumed tomorrow after the road clearance from concerned authorities.
