JAMMU, July 17: Two days Principals Conference was organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Jammu region and conducted by KV No 1 Gandhi Nagar.
The conference was inaugurated by AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner KVS Jammu region, in which Principals/Incharge of 53 Kendriya Vidyalayas situated in J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are participating.
The programme started with Saraswati Vandana and lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.
During the conference, different sessions on academic administration, various strategies on standard of academics, administration and financial matters will be taken.
AS Gill, Assistant Commis-sioner, KVS Jammu region discussed the academic performance of KVs of the region during the session 2012-13. Comparative study of results, performance index and remedial measures to improve the outputs was elaborated upon in depth by him.
AVLJ Rao discussed different administrative, remedial strategies to improve the standard of the performance of the students and monitoring of academic performance at Vidyalaya level.
During interaction with the Principals, Rao reviewed the scenario of monitoring measures and tools as well as strategies undertaken by the principals. He suggested the measures to check the system of monitoring of academic and co- curricular activities of the Vidyalayas in Jammu region.
Usha Shamendra, Assistant Commissioner, KVS Jammu Region spoke on the matters of Parent–Teachers Association (PTA) and Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) and how to conduct these in a refined manner in the Vidyalayas.
The topic of Common Minimum Problem (CMP), compulsory activities and constructive approach, the matter of burden of home work and assignments were also discussed during the session.
