SRINAGAR, July 16: State Vigilance Organization today arrested Abdul Rashid Shah, then Incharge Executive Officer of Municipal Committees Sumbal, Hajin and Bandipora for illegal appointments made in the municipalities during 2009-10.
Presently attached with Divisional Commissioner Srinagar, Shah was already booked by the Vigilance in case FIR number 15/2013 U/S 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) PC Act 2006 and r/w Section 120-(B) RPC P/S.
He was arrested today for custodial interrogation regarding illegal appointments made in Municipal Committee Sumbal during the year 2009-10.
State Vigilance Organization is also investigating two more cases of similar nature of Municipal Committees Hajin and Bandipora besides the possession of disproportionate assets case against the said accused.
