RAJOURI, Oct 9: Continuing its efforts against drug peddling and narcotics trade, the Police nabbed two drug peddlers and recovered some heroin from their possession in Thannamandi area today.
Official sources said that a police team from Thanamandi led by PSI Aakash Sharma, during naka apprehended two persons who attempted to evade the police naka. They were stopped and placed under frisking.
They were identified as Mohd Shafiq, son of Abdul Aziz, from Banghai and Amir Samyal, son of Mohd Bashir from Hasplote. On their search, around 8 gm of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession.
A case FIR No 213/2021 u/s 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Thana Mandi against them. Further investigation was in progress.
