JAMMU, Oct 3: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu Province Unit has extended support to the protest of students demanding admission in State run colleges for undergraduate courses during the current academic session despite having obtained remarkable achievements in their previous examinations.
In a press conference here today Om Parkash Khajuria, AAP Convener, Jammu Province; Gen. Rajinder Singh Jamwal (Retd); Wg Cdr Mahesh Chander Sudan (Retd) and Dy SP Joginder Singh Chib (Retd) said, these students would have not met this ill-fated situation in their academic career if the administration responsible for implementations of Cluster University concept had worked as desired and created required facility and faculty to undertake task as established under the provision of Jammu Cluster University Act 2016 centrally sponsored under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan 2013.
“This indicates that these students are being victimized not for their poor performance in pre requisite examinations but for the inefficiency of responsible administration,” AAP leaders said adding that they extend full support to the protesting students.
They also urged upon J&K Lieutenant Governor to look into the matter so that these students may not suffer any more.
Meanwhile, many men and women here today joined AAP in the presence of Om Parkash Khajuria, AAP Convener, Jammu Province; Vicky Kumar, Jayesh Gupta and other AAP leaders.
Welcoming the new entrants into Party fold, Khajuria said that the AAP is serious to give a clean time tested alternative to the electorates of J&K-UT to get rid of 74 years misrule.
