JAMMU, Oct 1: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested two vehicle lifters and recovered three stolen motorcycles from their possession.
As per police sources, on July 26 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Sachin Kumar, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Venus Chowk District Udhampur, at present Resham Ghar Colony with Police Station Bakshi Nagar stating that some unidentified persons have stolen his motorcycle from Resham Ghar Colony.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 109/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
The team connected various leads and with the help of CCTV footages and other technical aids finally rounded up two suspects namely Sahil Mehra alias Felli, son of Kamal Kishore of Jewel and Sumit Kumar, son of late Dharam Pal of Talab Tillo Camp, District Jammu. During sustained questioning, accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on the disclosure of accused namely Sumit Kumar, three stolen motorcycles were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
