SRINAGAR, Sept 28: BJP general secretary (org), Ashok Kaul appreciated the valour of the Sikh community and promised that party will take necessary steps for the betterment of the community and solve all their problems. He added that in the PDP-BJP coalition Government BJP was the one to give nomination to Sikhs whereas the other coalition partner didn’t had the courtesy to do so whereas Sikhs have a very strong presence in Kashmir.
The BJP leader was addressing a conference here today organised by Sikh minority Forum.
BJP senior leader and former MLC Surinder Ambardar was also addressed the conference and highlighted the heroic role played by Sikhs in protecting the unity and integrity of the country for centuries together. Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia another party leader also addressed the conference.
The members of Sikh community discussed various issues with senior BJP leaders here, today which included generation of “employment packages” for Sikh youth, implementation of “Unlawful conversion of Ordinance” in Kashmir in order to prevent the conversion of young Sikh girls, using marriage as a tool. This law has already been implemented in Uttar Pradesh and Government of Haryana has formed a three member Drafting Committee to frame the same law in their State.
Providing the status of “Official Language” to Panjabi since Urdu, Hindi, Kashmiri, Dogri and English are made the official languages of the State as per the “Jammu and Kashmir Official Language Bill of 2020.”
Gurudwara elections must be conducted as earliest as possible, implementation of “Anand Karaj Marriage Act”.
