J&K Judiciary comes forward to help Uttarakhand victims

JAMMU, July 11: The Full Court has passed a resolution whereby all the members of Higher as well as Subordinate Judiciary and employees will contribute towards the Prime Minister Relief Fund for the victims of natural calamity at Uttarakhand.
According to the order issued by Suresh Kumar Sharma, Registrar General, the Chief Justice and Judges of the High Court may make a contribution of Rs 10,000 each while as all the District Judges may contribute Rs 5,000 each.
Similarly, all the Sub-Judges (Senior Division) and Sub-Judges (Junior Division) may contribute Rs 25,00 each while as all the Gazetted Officers of the High Court and Subordinate Courts may contribute Rs 1000 each and all the non-gazetted employees and officials of the High Court and Subordinate Courts may contribute Rs 500 each.
The Registrars (Judicial) of both the wings of the High Court after collecting the amount of contribution so made at their respective wing will credit the same in the Bank Account with J&K Bank Branch at High Court Complex under intimation to the Registrar General.
All the Principal District and Sessions Judges of the districts after collecting the amount of contribution relating to their respective districts will also credit the same in the said account under intimation to the Registrar General. On getting the deposit in the bank account, the Registrar General will issue a consolidate cheque of the entire deposited amount for making payment in favour of Prime Minister Relief Fund.
