KATHUA, Sept 15 :In a decisive action against drug menace within the district Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today recovered 24 bottles of Win Cirex (Corex Syrup) like contraband in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Rajbagh, one vehicle was seized and three persons were arrested in this connection
Police said a team of Police Station Rajbagh led by Inspector, Amit Sangra, SHO laid a naka at NHW today and noticed one suspicious vehicle (Vitara Breeza) bearing Registration Number, JK08H5000 which was enrouted from Jammu towards Kathua. On thorough checking 24 bottles of Win Cirex Cough Syrup(Codeine Phosphate) 100ml each were recovered from the possession of three persons namely Deepak Kumar son of Ashwani Kumar of Ward No 17 Kathua, Tarun Sharma son of Shiv Dutt of Ward No 06 Kathua and Hitesh Gupta, son of Rakesh Gupta of Ward No. 2 Kathua. Meanwhile all the recovered consignment of contraband like item was seized, the persons were arrested and the vehicle was seized on spot.
A case vide FIR No.186/2021 under Section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and further investigation has been set into motion.
