JAMMU, Aug 25: Bahu Fort Police handed over a mentally disturbed lady to her family.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Bahu Fort that one unknown lady has jumped into canal near Khurana marbles.
On this, a police team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by the SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania assisted by PSI Adarsh Kant reached on the spot with lady police officials and saved the drowning lady with the help of locals.
The lady was unable to remember anything about her family.
During search and investigation, it was found that the lady was resident of Friends Colony, Channi.
After this, her family members were informed who told that she is mentally disturbed and is undergoing treatment.
Later, the lady was handed over to the family members after completing all the legal formalities.
