JAMMU, Aug 24: Gharota Police arrested two persons involved in attempt to murder case.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Gharota during checking of vehicles signalled three vehicles to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the drivers accelerated the vehicles and intentionally tried to kill the officials on duty in order to commit murder and also started pelting stones on the cops. Later, the accused along with the vehicles managed to escape from the spot.
A case FIR Number 80/2021 under Sections 307, 427, 336 and 147 IPC was registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial conducted series of raids and apprehended two persons, who were identified as Jamat Ali, son of Mohammad Mussa of Marilian Miran Sahib District Jammu and Mohammad Sadiq, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Chenani District Udhampur, at present Miran Sahib District Jammu were arrested. One Santro car was also seized in this case.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
