JAMMU, Aug 23: Rajbagh and Ramnagar Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Rajbagh led by SHO Inspector Bhopinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sachit Mahajan and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal laid a naka near link road Hore Camp and intercepted a Mahindra Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK08E-2247.
During checking, police team rescued 2 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Farman Ali, son of Ali Mohammad, a resident of Haria Chak.
A case under FIR Number 159/2021 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Ramnagar laid a naka and during checking rescued 6 bovine animals from a vehicle.
A case under FIR Number 142/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar and investigation initiated.
