POONCH, Aug 23: The dead body of a 17-year-old girl was recovered from bank of river today.
Official sources said that the girl was missing from her residence at Mohalla Kamsar in Poonch for the last two days. Today, a villager spotted the body lying at the bank of river near Magnar village and informed police.
They said the girl, Mehak Bi, resident of Kamsar in Poonch was missing from her home since August 21. Her dead body was found along the bank of river near Bikram Singh Yadgar at Mangnar.
SHO Poonch, Insp SD Singh said that body has been shifted to District Hospital, Poonch for postmortem and inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been launched.
