SRINAGAR, Aug 12: JKPCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma met Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Atul Dulloo at Srinagar today and took up the issue of various complaints of refusals to entertain the Ayushman Bharat health cards and various issues of improvement/upgradation of health facilities in Sunderbani and Nowshera area.
Senior Congress leader complained about reports of refusals to extend benefits to the eligible persons by various hospitals which need immediate cognizance and action as well a mechanism to report such matters on spot for quick redressal.
Sharma apprised him of the slow pace of work on the two sub district hospitals at Sunderbani and Nowshera , under construction for over 7 years , which were sanctioned during Congress led UPA govt in 2013, while the work commenced in 2014-15 but could not be completed till date.
The original plan and parking space has been altered which needs to be probed and looked into to provide adequate parking space in both upgraded hospitals besides immediate completion of the buildings.
The transfer of adjoining land of poultry/veterinary to the SDH Sunderbani has not been effected so far despite principle decision in 2012-13 , which is very unfortunate and should be done immediately.
He sought immediate filling up of several vacant posts of doctors in both Sub district hospitals on priority ,as well as other peripheral hospitals in the area besides making all the sub centres functional with paramedical staff. Several sub centres in far areas /villages are without staff and people suffering, he apprised the authority.
