DODA, Aug 11: The road from Chiralla to Sunarthawa is in dilapidated condition and Chiralla Development Society (CDS) has demanded its immediate repair.
As per reports, crores of rupees has been spent on construction of road from Chiralla to Sunarthawa and the metalling work is about to complete but still at some points, the commuters are facing problems.
During rainfall, the commuters face more hardships to ply their vehicles on this road as it becomes almost impossible for them to judge the deepness of the potholes.
The places on the road, where commuters face problems are, Bolian nalla, Goesti, Shurmtoo, Mirpura, Bloria nallah, Chapra, Sunarthawa before zero point, Dog Nallah, Digi Nallah, Binola Nalla, Upper Bajja, Lower Bajja and Seva Morh.
These mentioned places are without metalling that is why every time after rain, the road turns into potholes and commuters have to face problems in plying their vehicles.
“The road becomes slippery due to rainfall and accident can happen”, a member of CDS said and appealed to the district administration and PMGSY authorities to make the road motorable by completing all the pending works at the earliest, so that people have some sigh of relief.
“The road should be maintained at the aforesaid areas so that students, public, employees and others can take part in Independence Day celebrations”, the members of the CDS demanded.
