JAMMU, Aug 10: Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson Abhijeet Jasrotia today said that Zojila tunnel is of immense importance from defence point of view but Congress intentionally kept it in abeyance as security of the Nation was never in its agenda.
Jasrotia said this tunnel is the only life line to connect Kashmir with Ladakh which is bordered with countries like China and Pakistan. He said that the Zojila tunnel was a strategic work of high defence priority which was never on the agenda of Congress and NC but it was delivered by BJP Government which is consistently enhancing the defence power of the country.
“We can very well understand this as most of the land of erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state was illegally occupied by Pakistan and China due to Congress and its anti-national agenda. We salute our soldiers who are on guard to save Siachin by sacrificing their lives from time to time otherwise we would have lost Siachin the most important point like Aksai chin, Tia Pangnak and Chabzi Valley, Doom Cheley which were served in a platter to China by then Congress Government.” said Abhijeet.
The BJP spokesperson while hitting out at Farooq Abdullah’s recent visit to Z Morh & Zojila tunnel said that Abdullah leaves no opportunity of media coverage and taking false credit of BJP’s developmental works. He said that the sitting MP of NC has no contribution in this project as from past two decades Congress and NC were misruling at state and centre and they never cared about problems of people of Ladakh.
Jasrotia chided Farooq Abdullah who tried to make a news by visiting the under construction Zojila & Z morh tunnel just to hit the headlines.
