JAMMU, Aug 8: Dr Vikas Sharma of SKUAST-Jammu has been conferred with Best Teacher Award 2021 for his academic excellence and research contributions.
The award was conferred to Dr Vikas through virtual mode on the occasion of fifth international conference on “Advances in Agriculture, Environmental and Biosciences for Sustainable Development (05-07, August, 2021)” organized by Agro Environmental Development Society (AEDS), Central Agricultural University Imphal in collaboration with Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya Gwalior and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
He also delivered a lead lecture on “Bitter gourd anticancer efficacy” in the aforesaid International Conference that was attended by more than 300 scientists from eight different countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Nepal, India etc.
Dr Vikas, son of Harbans Lal Sharma and Pushplata Sharma, resident of Channi Himmat, Jammu, is working as Asstt Professor in the Division of Biochemistry, FBSc, SKUAST-Jammu.
