JAMMU, Aug 7: Janipur Police arrested two persons including a shopkeeper along with 159 rolls of Chinese thread (gattu).
As per police sources, on reliable information about sale of dreaded Chinese thread (gattu), a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP City Mohita Sharma conducted raid in a shop at Shivalikpuram.
During raid, police team seized 159 rolls of Chinese thread (gattu) from the shop and arrested two persons including the shopkeeper.
The arrested persons were identified as Rohit (shopkeeper), son of late Ashok Kumar and Sanjay Sharma, son of Des Raj, both residents of Shivalikpuram Janipur District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 89/2021 under Section 188 and 34 IPC has been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Janipur and investigation started to ascertain the source of this dreaded Chinese thread.
