JAMMU, Aug 7: In connection to preparedness for forthcoming Independence Day, a joint coordination meeting was held between Jammu Police, Army and BSF officers at Army Station Miran Sahib.
The meeting was attended by Ramnish Gupta SP Headquarters Jammu, SS Parihar Deputy Commander 162 Infantry Brigade, Hardev Singh Deputy CO 36 Battalion BSF, SK Marki Deputy CO 16 Battalion BSF, Paramjit 2 I/C 42 Battalion BSF, Shabir Khan SDPO RS Pura, officers of Army and all SHOs of Sub Division RS Pura including SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma, SHO Arnia Inspector Harjeet Singh, SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Mirza Sultan and SHO Bishnah Inspector Joginder Singh.
The agenda of the meeting was intelligence sharing between various security forces for better border security management.
The issue related to spotting of drones flying along the border areas was also discussed.
Furthermore, discussions regarding establishment of joint nakas, joint MCPs between local police and BSF, joint patrolling in border areas by BSF, Army and police personal were made.
During the meeting, SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta emphasised to maintain high level of alertness in border and adjoining areas to prevent any untoward incident.
