JAMMU, Aug 6: The second anniversary of Abrogation of Article 370 was celebrated by hoisting National Flag at Ward No. 20 in Gandhi Nagar by Harinder Gupta, Ex general secretary BJP and Arun Gupta, CCI president Jammu in a function held today.
On the occasion, Rahul Kumar corporator, Rajeev Gupta secretary CCI, Sandeep Gupta district Executive Member, Rajesh Khullar district Executive Member, Rachit Khosla Gandhi Nagar Mandal secretary BJP, Satbir Singh Ward president, Jung Bahadur ex president, Valmiki Samaj, Ricky Gupta, Chowkidar Vishal Gupta and Vijay Verma were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Harinder Gupta said that abrogation of Article 370 is the biggest achievement of the Modi Government in the country.
Arun Gupta, CCI president Jammu said that the abrogation of Article 370 has led to development and progress in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. “We, the Dogras are patriots and proud sons and daughters of mother India. We have always been at the forefront against separatism in J&K’’, he added.
In connection with celebration of second anniversary of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A, a program was organised by Raj Kumar president, Gaushalla at Gaushalla, Amphalla, Jammu in the presence of Ex MLA, Ashok Khajuria and Mahant Rajesh Bittu, Chairman Radha Madhav Trust.
During the function Kanjaak Poojan was done followed by hawan. After the hawan, Ashok Khajuria was honoured by Raj Kumar for his role in the past fights against Articles 370 and 35-A being the most senior leader of BJP. Also during the evening, a program under “Ek Deep Shaheedo ke Naam” was organised at Gaushalla in which lamps and Diyas were lighted in the memory of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for J&K and the nation.
