India most populous country

Sir,
According to a UN report, India’s population is expected to surpass China’s around 2028. It says that India’s population will continue to grow for several decades to around 1.6 billion and then decline in 2100.
The growing population is a matter of concern for the country. Even at present, the population is posing great challenges to the country. The population explosion is responsible for sharp price rise of essential commodities and the inflation. The unemployment among youth in India is directly attributed to it. For a single job there are thousands of competitors. Corruption and crime, the two vices which are currently eating into the vitals of country have their birth from increasing population. Besides, our natural resources like water, land, forests are under great strain. Every year large chunks of forests are cleared for providing agriculture and residential land to people.
Since water too is in great demand, people fight for it. In future, we may have water wars. The ecology is also experiencing the fall of this population phenomenon. These developments directly or indirectly affect the normal living pattern of human beings.
It is very pity that the Government whether in Centre or State are not much bothered about it. They have stopped laying thrust on it due to political reasons.
Before, the population bomb may explode, the countrymen will have to wakeup and defuse the ticking bomb.
Yours etc…..
