JAMMU, July 6: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Ritu Choudhary visited DPS Lane of Ward 7 along with Junior Engineer PHE Department and heard grievances of the locals regarding leakage in water pipes, here today.
During the inspection, the Councillor inspected the leakage and directed the JE PHE Jammu to get the damaged pipe either repaired or replaced.
While addressing the media, Corporator Ritu Choudhary said that she had been receiving complaints regarding water leakage since past few days, so today along with JE PHE, she inspected the site of leakage and directed the concerned officer to get the water pipes repaired or replaced, so that the general public will not suffer due to shortage of potable water that too in this scorching heat.
She also appealed the public not to wander outside needlessly and wear masks and practice social distancing while at a public place as corona cases are on the rise again.
