Glowing tributes paid to Vaishnavi on 9th death anniversary

JAMMU, July 1: Rich tributes were paid to Pt Amarnath Vaishnavi, the father of Kashmiri Pandit community and a great social activist and RSS ideologue on his 9th death anniversary today.
In this connection programmes were organised by various Kashmiri Pandit organizations in different parts of Jammu and outside to remember this great leader who played a leading role in various nationalist movements in J&K including Praja ParishAd Movement and anti emergency agitation besides in community struggle for restoration of homeland for over seven lakh Kashmiri pandits after their mass exodus from Valley in 1989-90 and fought for reversal of genocide till his last breath.
The All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) to which Vasihnavi Ji served as president till his death organsied a function at its office Durga Nagar near here under the chairmanship of R K Wangnoo its president in which service of this great leader to the nation and community was highlighted.
The speakers paid floral tributes to the late leader and termed him a great Karamyogi who selflessly served the people throughout his life. Those who paid tributes to Vaishnavi Ji included general secretary ASKPC, B B Bhat Gosani, R K Raina its vice president, B K Wantoo, Shuban Ji Pandita, R L Koul, Ashok Dhar, Ravi Raina etc.
The Kashmiri Pandit Conference observed the Day as unity and Solidarity Day under the chairmanship of its president Kundan Kashmiri. The organization leaders paid rich tributes to legendary leader. In his tributes Kashmiri said Vaishnavi Ji was an unparallel leader with innate qualities like courage, honesty integrity and strong will power and determination who worked for humanity in general and his community in particular. Dr H L Saraf Tej Pandita, M K Raina, Susheel Bhat, R L Raina and Rajinder Dhar also paid tributes to this great man.
Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha, Kashmiri Khatri Yuva Sabha, Displaced Kashmiri Unemployed Youth Union during a joint function paid glowing tributes to legendary leader under the leadership of its chairman Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan. The leaders recalled his services to nation and the community.
Executive members of Amar Balidan Trust , Buta Nagar also paid floral tributes to Amarnath Vaishnavi Ji. The members of the Trust observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to great leader. The speakers termed him as the Maragdarshak of the community and a true Swayamsevak.
R V Learning Foundation led by Rohini Vaishnavi the grand daughter of legendary leader launched website to preserve the memories of this great leader on the occasion of his ninth death anniversary today. Social activists led by Ashok Kangan, Bushan Lal Bhata, Hira Lal Bhat and Dr Sushil Wattal also recalled the services of this great man and paid rich tributes to him.
Special Geeta Recitation Programme was organized at Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsangh Ashram Muthi as a tribute to late leader.
Sharika Peeth Sanstha Subash Nagar led by M K Jalali also paid tributes to great leader.
